Accessibility Statement>
Villario · a trading name of Cyridium Ltd
Villario is committed to making its guest booking experience accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. This statement applies to villario.com — property search, listing pages, booking checkout, guest messaging, and account management.
1. Our accessibility target
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the guest-facing booking flow: search and filtering, listing detail pages, the booking and checkout widget, cancellation policy and “things to know” content, reviews, and guest messaging.
2. How accessible is Villario?
What works well
Search, listing, and checkout forms have visible labels and associated
aria-label/aria-labelledbyattributes.Colour contrast meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA ratios across search results, listing pages, and checkout.
The booking flow (search → listing → checkout → confirmation) is fully operable by keyboard.
Pages use semantic HTML5 landmarks (
<main>,<nav>,<header>,<footer>).Listing photos include descriptive
alttext supplied by the Host, where provided.Focus indicators are visible on interactive elements throughout the booking widget and checkout.
Known limitations
Area | Issue | WCAG criterion | Expected fix |
|---|---|---|---|
Property photo gallery | Swipe/carousel navigation is not fully operable via keyboard alone on some listings | 2.1.1 Keyboard (A) | Keyboard-accessible gallery controls planned — Q4 2026 |
Interactive property map | Map markers are not individually reachable by keyboard; no list-view alternative is currently offered alongside the map | 2.1.1 Keyboard (A) | List-view alternative planned — Q4 2026 |
Saved searches | Screen-reader announcement when a saved search updates with new matching properties is inconsistent | 4.1.3 Status Messages (AA) | Live-region announcement fix — Q3 2026 |
Guest messaging thread view | New-message arrival is not consistently announced to screen readers in a long-running conversation | 4.1.3 Status Messages (AA) | Under active development — Q3 2026 |
Listing content: Photos, descriptions, and amenity information within a Listing are supplied by the Host. While Villario provides accessible components (including alt-text fields) and encourages Hosts to write clear, descriptive listing content, we cannot guarantee that every Host has done so for every Property.
3. Technical information
Villario's guest-facing pages are built using web-standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and custom elements (Web Components using the Lit framework), server-rendered for fast, accessible first paint. We test against WCAG 2.1 AA using a combination of automated tools (axe-core) and manual testing with screen readers (NVDA + Chrome, VoiceOver + Safari).
